KEIRSEY ANNUAL TEMPERAMENT AWARDS

Awarded to well know and best examples of the temperaments of the year.

2002

GUARDIAN OF THE YEAR

NEW YORK STATE ATTONERY GENERAL ELLIOT SPITZER (SUPERVISOR GUARDIAN)

Taking the initiative in holding Wall Street accountable, Elliot Spitzer has made Wall Street take notice.

ARTISAN OF THE YEAR

EARVIN "MAGIC" JOHNSON (PERFORMER ARTISAN)

No longer entertaining people on the basketball court, but building a business empire with a heart of gold, Magic Johnson exhibits the best traits of the action-oriented business man.  Focusing on the inner city, Magic has built business establishments that both make a profit and give back to the community.

RATIONAL OF THE YEAR

DONALD RUMSFELD, SECRETARY OF DEFENSE (MASTERMIND RATIONAL)

As the front man on the war on terror, Donald Rumsfeld, has become a media star because he, unusual for an official, does not beat around the Bush, being honest to the point of being blunt.  He tells it exactly like it is, or will tell the asker of the question, either he can't or will not answer the question for a good reason.  Rumsfeld exhibits the crystal clear logic and rational thinking of a Mastermind.  Strategic in all their thinking, Masterminds do not suffer fools gladly, but Rumsfeld has been schooled enough to not make the asker of foolish and stupid questions, knowing that its his job to plan the defense of the nation, and not to make the media mad.

IDEALIST OF THE YEAR

BONO (Paul Hewson) SINGER  (CHAMPION IDEALIST)

Beyond his rock band U2, Bono has extended himself to other projects and causes, and has emerged over the years to be both a social animal and an activist...and has rallied numerous actors, artists and activists to his cause...most recently, his bid to end Third World Debt as spokesman for the Jubilee 2000 project and Netaid.

Despite the obvious privilege of his lifestyle, Bono continues to display a generosity and genuine nature that is impressive to both friends and fans alike...the kind of person who could work a roomful wealthy socialites, then stop to chat with fans on the street about music, and then be seen giving cash handouts to the homeless.
