KEIRSEY ANNUAL TEMPERAMENT AWARDS

Awarded to well known and best examples of the temperaments of the year.

2004

GUARDIAN OF THE YEAR

WARREN BUFFET (INSPECTOR GUARDIAN)

The problem with profiling Guardians is that not many are really famous. They also aren't very noticeable for their actions, because their actions aren't flashy. Warren Buffet, the best performing investor of the 20th century, just keeps going like that energizing bunny, quietly performing without any fanfare, making him and his investors money by earning it.

ARTISAN OF THE YEAR

There are two people that demand to be recognized this year; they are both fantastic examples of Artisans, whose accomplishments and exploits far exceed others.

DONALD TRUMP (PROMOTER ARTISAN)

What hasn't been said about Donald Trump. A Promoter's Promoter, he is able to promote himself and we love him for it. He talks about business and leadership -- his style -- and what a style. Money, Money, Monnnney.

LANCE ARMSTRONG (CRAFTER ARTISAN)

Six times. Never done before. Armstrong's determination to win the Tour de France, the pinnacle of bike racing, highlights both the Artisans overwhelming ability to compete beyond ordinary human endurance and the fact that Crafters can excel on using themselves and their tools (e.g., a bike) to accomplish feats unimaginable. Recovering from very deadly cancer -- he showed that he had the life force to overcome all obstacles, inspiring all others to try to do the same. A real sports hero.

RATIONAL OF THE YEAR

Paul Allen (MASTERMIND RATIONAL)

"SpaceShipOne is a tangible example of continuing humankind's efforts to travel into space, and effectively demonstrating that private, non-government resources can make a big difference in this field of discovery and invention," Spending unknown millions Paul Allen, billionaire from his large share of Microsoft stock (he was co-founder of Microsoft), he provided Burt Rutan the financial backing to advance technology for space exploration privately. He also has funded a telescope of the SETI Institute (Search for Extraterrestrial Life).

IDEALIST OF THE YEAR

Mel Gibson (COUNSELOR IDEALIST)

The Passion of Christ -- Mel Gibson wrote, co-produced, and directed this film. Putting his money, reputation, and his own soul into the movie -- he defied convention because he just believed it was an important film he had to make.
